“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” feels a bit pasted together because the filmmakers couldn’t get the kid actors to stop laughing. “A problem all the kids had (in the early days) was this sense of total delight at being there so they could never stop smiling even if it was a serious scene,” said director Christopher Columbus. “Me and Dan both had this giggling problem,” said Rupert Grint. “(Alan Rickman) told me to relax my face and to not think of anything. It didn’t really work, to be honest.” “The key for cinematographer John Seal was shooting multiple cameras because I never knew when the kids were going to deliver the performance that I needed,” said Columbus. “So if you look at the first film, you see, it’s very cutty,” said Columbus. “In other words, we cut to a closeup of a kid and then I cut away to someone else. We were incapable of getting an entire scene in context.”

Tell me, is it my time that you want?
When all I ever wanted was your love.
If I’m too far gone, would you give up?
Let’s burn it all baby and rise above.
